Goshen Gospel Camp 2010

My blog posts:

Goshen Gospel Camp 2010 - Day 3

Day 3

We had eggs again for breakfast.  Those eggs are fresh farm eggs from nearby free range chicken farm.  They are very tasty!

Of course... we had everyone's favourite....  Cup Noodle again!
Take a look at the lineups...

We had a closing gathering before lunch.
Lunch was our final meal at Bliss Haven.  We had
  •  salad
  • fried vegetable balls which are made from beans, spinach, onions, etc.
  • spaghetti

It was a very health lunch... ;-)

The drive back to Toronto was surprisingly good.  There was no traffic jam at 401.

Guess how many cars we had inside the camp?
Hint...

Goshen Gospel Camp 2010 - Tour of the outside

During the free time on Day 2, I took lots of photos around the house.

Let me take you for the tour outside the house...

Front door...

Outside the back door...

This was where the owner did some of the cooking...  especially cooking eggs in the morning...

Ancient stove...

I didn't think it's meant for adults...

The neighbor had a big field...
Can you guest what's growing in the field?

The field is growing green beans...

I've also found a pear or green apple tree.... However, each fruit looked very ugly...

Can you see what's hiding in the photo?

It's a rabbit!
So cute! :)

Goshen Gospel Camp 2010 - Day 2

Day 2

For Breakfast, we had:
  • eggs
  • cereals
  • bread
and, of course, everyone's favorite.....  Cup Noodles!
We brought them with us to this camp... ;-)

You can see how energetic people are after breakfast...  hahahahaha... :D

Since we were not used to the beds, most of us didn't get enough sleeps.

First activity of the day is hiking. :D

The drive to the hiking place is very short.
I still remember how amazing that God has created nature.
On both side of the roads, there were wild white flowers, yellow flowers, and purple flowers.
Behind the flowers, there were taller grasses/bushes/trees.
Those were wild flowers.  No one has planted them, but they have made the drive beautiful.

Before we start, we had to spray ourselves from head to toe with insect repellent...
I hate mosquitoes! :(

After the spraying ceremony, we started walking...

Our first stop was the beach...

Some people are very well protected!  :P

For some reasons, there were a lot of dried dead fish on the beach... :(

Someone had built a sand castle...
Do you see the dino security guard?  ;-)

We were finally at the trail entrance...
Hahahaha.... I thought the beach was the trail entrance... but it was most likely some people's backyards...

We were walking along the trail....

Flowers and unknown fruits were along the way...

This was a weird looking tree...
It looked like "2" turned 180 degress...

We had noticed that a lot of houses are above ground...
Wondering why...

After hiking, everyone was taking a break before lunch...
Lazy people! :P

Lunch Time!!
We had:
  • Meatballs
  • Chow Mein
  • Soup
  • Buns

We all had to line up for the food....

After lunch, we had worship.
It was a very tiring experience...
Not enough sleep... Hiking....  Energy spent on lunch...
Only 25% of me was still functional during worship.... hahahahaha... :P

Then, we have a couple hours of free time.
Some guys played soccer.
Others walked around the house.
We were not allowed to leave the camp to a more civilized world...  ;-)

We were all smart phone addicts... :P

Best human activities....  Sleeping and chatting...  hahahaha....

How about a massage?

For dinner, we had:
  • beef stew
  • spicy vegetables
  • potatos
  • rice

Take a look at our creative way to make ice-tea!!

At night, we had Camp Fire...

The sky was filled with stars...  It's something that we normally won't see in the city due to light pollutions.
I saw even more stars when I walked back to the girls' house after the camp fire...  :D
