Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol iPad Wallpaper

Yes... I've turned my iPad into MI4 iPad as well... :D
As mentioned in my previous post, I'll post the iPad 2 Wallpapers that I've created.

I used Dropbox to save the wallpapers in my iPad.
iTunes or other software can also be used to copy to iPad.

Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol

I've watched the MI4 movie yesterday.  I really like it.  Part of the reasons could be Tom Cruise.... hahahaha...
I would give the movie 5/5.  ;)

Inside the movie, Tom Cruise was driving the BMW i8 concept car in Mumbai.
The car is really cool.  In the real world version, I don't think it'll have the wind shield touch screen feature.
According to 3D-Car-Shows, this car will be in the Detroit Car Show next year. :)

MI4 used a lot of Apple technologies too.

Everyone in the theatre is a sucker!

I've watched The Simpsons Movie in theatre last Saturday.

In the beginning of the movie, the Simpsons family is watching the Itchy and Scratchy movie in the theatre. Then, Homer complains about having to pay to see it on the big screen: "I can't believe we're paying to see something we get on TV for free. Everyone in this theatre is a sucker!" (his finger is pointing at the audience -- us!)

True... Why are we paying to see something we get on TV for free?
Well... The Simpsons Movie is a very funny movie. I've laughed from beginning till the end. It gives you 1.5 hours of fun and laughs. Is it worth the movie ticket??


Here are some of the funny parts... Don't read on if you haven't seen the movie!

• After betting with Homer, Bart skateboards naked.
  
• Homer plays with the lovable Spider-Pig / Harry Plopper.
• U.S. President Arnold Schwarzenegger orders Springfield to be enclosed in a dome and, later, to be destroyed.
  
• Tom Hanks acts as Tom Hanks in commercials.
• etc.
  

Overall, I think the movie is too short. It mainly focuses on the Simpsons. Other interesting characters, like Mr. Burns and Krusty the clown, only appear in 2 - 3 scenes. Santa's Little Helper is not even in the movie. I wish the movie could be longer.

The Japanese has actually invented real Transformers... Well... a much smaller and dumber version of Transformers...
Anyway, Sam Witwicky is right in the Transformers movie! "Super advanced robots must be from Japan."

Transformers Movie

I've watched the Transformers Movie yesterday. It's excellent!! I think this is the best movie of the year... I am not a Transformers fans. Actually, I prefer Japanese robots anime, but this movie is a must see... incredible special effects... humorous... excellent computer graphics... I would give this movie 5 stars!!

The plot is simple:
The battle between the Autobots (good guys) and the Decepticons (bad guys) has destroyed their planet. Their origin "Allspark Cube" has fallen into earth many years ago. So, the Autobots and the Decepticons come to earth to look for it. Earth is now the new battle ground. Humans need to help Autobots to fight against Decepticons in order to ensure their survivals.

The plot is almost flawless. However, I do have one question:
The "Allspark Cube" created good robots (Autobots) and bad robots (Decepticons) in the original planet. Why does it only create bad robots on earth? After the video cam turns into robots, it tries to shoot people with machine guns and rockets. After the car turns into robots, it tries to kill the driver and passengers. How come there is no good robot created on earth?

Summer Movie Guide

Spiderman 3

I've watched Spiderman 3 last Sunday... during the opening weekend.
I think this movie is excellent. It's packed with actions, special effects, comedy, tragedy, story (yes... it actually has a story... not just fighting all the time like some other action movies...)

However, the movie is too long and too much plots are packed inside it... On one hand, there is no boring part in this movies.... On the other hand, there is not enough time for each character to develop except for Peter Parker.

The movie theme is supposed to be human's inner battle between good and evil. In Peter's battle, good (normal Spiderman & nerdy looking Peter) eventually defeated evil (black Spidey & better looking Peter with weird dancing). In Eddie Brock's battle, we see Eddie quickly turns into Venom. Why Peter has a big battle and Eddie has no battle at all? The movie skips that because Eddie is not the main character? Is it because Peter is Spiderman? I think the movie can spent more time talking about Venom.

Furthermore, with all the Spiderman frames, Peter becomes light-headed and self-centered. He just keeps talking about himself and doesn't listen to MJ when she is sad and depressed. He even hits MJ in the restaurant. So, I really don't know why MJ forgives him so easily at the end. The a

Overall, this is a good movie. I would give it 5 stars.
The movie ends with Sandman vanishing into the wind. So, there must be a "Spiderman 4" movie coming!!

The Lord of the Rings

After work (March 22), I went with Anna to see the world premiere of "The Lord of the Rings" production at Princess of Wales Theatre. We brought $50 discount tickets (originial price is $120) and were sitting in the left side of the Orchestra level. :D The show started at 7pm and ended around 10:50pm with 2 intermission in between.

Overall, the show is great. I would give 4.5 out of 5 stars to this show. :) It has so many stage effects that I can not count. The lighting effect is excellent. The circular stage is like a puzzle and each puzzle piece can rise up to different levels to represent hills, castles, tunnels, etc.

Some of the scenes are execellent:

- The scene where Gandalf fights against a creature (dragon?) and dies... Originally, I think we will see Gandalf pretending to fight and dies and that's it. However, we do see the dragon. Combining sound effect, red lighting effect, and wind effect, the dragon seems very real.

- The scene where the Fellowship climbs blind-folded on a ladder going to the Elvish haven of Lothlorien (to see the Lady of Golden Wood). It really does look like the Fellowship is climbing up very high to the top of the trees.

- The scene where Frodo and Sam fight against a big sprider... The sprider is controlled by a couple of people (in black). The movements of the sprider are very real.

- Smeagol is amazing. His movements are exactly like the Smeagol in movies.

- There are many more great scenes...

If the show is so great, why don't I give 5 stars? Well... First of all, the songs are ok but not great. Many of the songs are similar. There is no one song that I really like. I guess I can't ask for too much since this show is a movie adaptation and not a musical.

Secondly, the main actors are not handsome and the main actresses are not pretty. Legolas (the archery guy) is handsome in the movies. However, this Legolas is only ok looking. Arwen (Aragorn's lover) is very pretty in the movies. However, this Arwen is a fat version. Aragon looks ok because his face is covered with beard.

Lastly, there are some boring scenes in the show (e.g. Galadriel singing about the mystical beauty of Lothlorien). I guess this is ok since this show has to follow the movies.

This show is a big production. In some scenes (e.g. singing in the Prancing Pony Inn), there are at least 40-50 people dancing together. I've never seen a production with so many performers.

Since I've watched the 3 Lord of the Rings movies a long time ago, I don't remember all the details, so I cannot do a story comparison between the movies and this show.

In Conclusion, this show definitely worths $60 ($50 + tax + service charge)... ;)

V for Vendetta

I watched the movie "V for Vendetta" tonight (March 18). Overall, it is a good movie. It is an action movie that makes you think.

This movie is about a terrorist freedom fighter known as "V" (Hugo Weaving) and a young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) in the futuristic totalitarian Britain.

V is the survivor of a concentration camp for bio-weapon testing. Even though he survived, his whole body was burned and he doesn't even have a face. So, he wears a mask trying to revenge on all people who did this to him. He also wants to urge other people to stand up against the government's dictatorship.

V saves Evey from some corrupted policemen trying to rape her. In the beginning, she is just a scary woman. As she begins to understand V's cause, she becomes an ally. In the end, she becomes a hero herself.

As with other action movies, some parts of the plot doesn't make sense. For example, how can V sees things when he doesn't have a face?

However, the movie does bring out some good messages:

- We should not let fear rules over us. We should fight for freedom and stand up against dictatorship.

- Even if a person dies, his ideas will not die.

- One can make a difference. V brings hope back to the people.

情癲大聖

前幾曰，我看了導演劉鎮偉的《情癲大聖》。這片既是無厘頭《西遊記》的終結篇，也是《西遊記》的前傳。 劉鎮偉之前拍攝的兩部無厘頭《西遊記》是《西遊記第壹佰零壹回之月光寶盒》和《西遊記大結局之仙履奇緣》(周星馳飾演的孫悟空)。 《情癲大聖》是關於唐僧成聖前的浪漫人妖戀... 謝霆鋒扮演的唐三藏... 蔡卓妍扮演奇醜無比的女妖。 這片的劇情比之前的更天馬行空，更無厘頭，和更大玩特技。

雖然我不太喜歡這三部無厘頭《西遊記》，但戲入面有一些對白十分經典。

周星馳: "如果上天再給我一次機會，我會對這女孩子說三個字：我愛你。如果一定要為這段感情加上一個期限，我希望是一萬年。"

而《情癲大聖》內的對白...

唐三藏對徒兒們：“你們就讓我出去以德服妖吧。”

孫悟空對唐三藏: “聽住，如果你要金剛棒聽你的話，就說「愛你一萬年!」 如果你要它停止，就說「我唔愛你了!」”

唐三藏對妖們: “用愛去感動他...(之後) 我隨便講吓咋...”

唐三藏對金剛棒：“愛你一萬年。”金剛棒顯示：“不想打架，休息一天。”唐三藏：“不是嘛，這個時候你罷工？”

孫悟空對唐三藏：“曾經有一段至真的感情放在我面前，我沒有好好珍惜。 失去了以後，我後悔莫及。 塵世間最痛苦...” 唐三藏：“行了! 行了! 很多人都會背了。” 孫悟空：“你知不知道為甚麼我每天都要背？因為我後悔，就像你做錯事常唸心經懺悔一樣。”

孫悟空對玉皇大帝：“喜歡一個人有罪嗎？你有王母娘娘當然這樣說啦!”

佛祖對唐三藏: “你有沒有想過，愛一個人不一定要有結果? 不追求結果就不會有盡頭的一天...這種不追求結果的愛才是無限的。”

片尾: “塵世間最遙遠的距離，不是我站在你面前，卻不知道我愛你，而是，明明知道彼此相愛，卻不能在一起。”


結論:
這片都幾攪笑...但故事無厘頭...可以當卡通片看...
結尾都幾 touching...
Overall... not bad....
